This Saturday, beginning with a rally at one at the Boston Common bandstand with Howard Zinn speaking (Wow! HoZinn!) and ending with a march to Copley at two.
I know I'll be there! And will be having a ball!

to update people on the protest that happened today:
I would estimate that the crowd was about 500 people strong. After listening to too many speeches with a pretty shitty sound system, a bunch of us (pirates and anti-authoritarians) decided to begin the march, and everybody followed! Captain Laura, FirstMate Dan, Squashbuckler Eric, Pirate Ben, Pirate Gigi, and Pirate Nadine were there, myself with the pirate flag. The march was permitted, but after the march started nobody told us where we were supposed to go (we were heading to Copley, but we didn't know by which roads). Since we were in front, we simply picked! We marched through the public garden, and after a brief delay, took over Arlington Street and then right on down Newbury Street. There may be pirate press to add soon, because I know a few of us had our pictures taken quite a few times, but no news to report yet (major TV networks were there also). We were marching in between surprised cars (stuck in traffic) and all the shoppers were dumbfounded as we shouted things like "while you're shopping bombs are dropping" and "get off the sidewalks and into the streets!" Eventually the cops managed to force us over to Boylston street, and instead of rallying at Copley we attempted to march down Boylston again. The cops drove their motorcycles into the crowd, but to my knowledge nobody was hurt. One came pretty close to me, but I was paying attention and was fine. The back-half of the march didn't follow with us to go down Boylston, so we stopped and regrouped. After a little break, we spoke twice on their soundsystem, saying we would march again. This march decided to march down the rest of Newbury (that we had been shut off from before). I left the march before it took off, allegedly towards Harvard Square by way of Mass. Ave, because the cops had blocked the street ahead, we were much smaller in numbers, and the police were behind us on their motorcycles, ready to run through the crowd again. I believe FirstMate Dan is the only one to stay through the entire march, so you can ask him for more details, but he came out fine in the end.
