We should do some street theater by some of those great new video cameras in Boston. Maybe have one person holding a sign that says "Thanks for watching Big Brother!" while facing the government cam. Who's interested?

FYI Pirate Pheobe and I have talked and she will be in town (Boston) on this upcoming Tuesday. I plan on being there. Unfortunately Captain Laura will most likely be away in scurvy Florida, but anyone else interested should join us.

I may have jumped the boat from Florida so if I'm in town, YES. Also I have a nifty little plan perhaps we could work with the exhibit of American Presidents little display at the Prudential Mall. It's some nice fancy propaganda for the two-party system. I'll post with more specifics once I organize myself (tonight perhaps...keep a look out if interested). But yes to Tuesday, Capt'nLaura

tomorrow is Monday... I thought we were meeting Tuesday? Did you mean the appointment is Tuesday? I don't know if that would be worth meeting because it's so late and our DA would have to last shorter, but I'm okay with doing it anyways. Any other pirates coming besides the Captain, Pheobe and I?

yeah I meant appointment is Tuesday. I think it wouldn't be a good idea to do the camera theater on tuesday, but wednesday would be much better for me. Is that good for you and Captain Laura?
P.S. what is DA?

I dunno what is better for us, I know there is the movie (on the pirate calendar) that I want to see that night but maybe earlier Wednesday? If the video camera thing was just a sign tuesday and street theater later then it could work. Laura has another cool idea (very cool) so we should talk to her. DA is Direct Action which means taking action yourself rather then voting for someone to do it (like community organizing, holding a sign or whatever).

It's kind of expensive and elaborate for me to come up to Boston so I can not afford come for a sign thing on Tuesday and then something else Wednesday (was that what you meant? I was sort of confused by your meaning of "a sign tuesday and street theater later"). But if you want to do camera stuff Wednesday and then we could go to the movie together afterwards, that would be cool for me. I would love to learn about Venezuelan and Bolvian revolutions.

Yes, Si, Da, Definitely.
I will be there Wednesday (I can bring my own video camera as well to have it documented). I would also like to do an action that same day (as I said) with the Presidential exhibit at the Pru mall (no vandalism, just posting our own sign about what the two-party system often really means, to complement their signs) but I need cardboard (which I can probably go fish out of a dumpster for free) and more importantly PAINT. Phoebe or anyone else who's interested, does anyone have black and/or white paint I can use? And everyone else is invited to this little outing as well, so join our Pirate-y band for the actions as well as the super rad movie at Lucy Parsons Center! (Eric will probably post details. Or look on calender) Love and solidarity, Capt'nLaura

I am very interested in doing street theater for the cameras.
To be honest I would just like to do anything to make the people running the rights removal devices feel rediculous, because that is what I do best. Like perhaps preform a few scenes of "hamlet" for them.
If it would serve the people, I would be happy to print out a few copies of certain scenes from plays.
The trick with these kind of things is you have to be creative. I can't speak from experiance because I only stopped lurking last night, but I would assume that normal people hold up signs and chant, but pirates go about protests in the most artistic way possible. Like hamlet, or a hippy drum circle.
I would be alright with any plans, because my schedual for the day is completely free.
I live in barrington RI, perhaps there can be some car pool action?
